These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Jobtroo, including our website, software, AI tools, job opportunity features, application builder, mock interview tools, subscriptions, credits, and related services.

By creating an account, subscribing, purchasing credits, or using Jobtroo, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use Jobtroo.

Jobtroo is an AI-powered career platform designed to help job seekers:

• Search for job opportunities
• Analyse job fit
• Create tailored CVs, resumes, cover letters, and supporting statements
• Prepare for interviews
• Practise mock interviews with AI
• Track and improve application readiness

Jobtroo is not a recruitment agency, employment agency, employer, or guarantee of employment.

To use Jobtroo, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Have the legal ability to accept these Terms
• Provide accurate account and billing information
• Use the service only for lawful purposes

If you are under the age of majority in your country, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login details secure
• All activity under your account
• Ensuring the information you provide is accurate
• Updating incorrect or outdated information
• Not sharing your account with unauthorised users

You must contact us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Upon signup, Jobtroo may provide free credits, including:

• 1 free Job Match credit
• 1 free Document Creation credit

These free credits are provided to allow users to try the platform.

Free credits:

• Have no cash value
• Cannot be transferred
• Cannot be exchanged for money
• May be limited to one account per user
• May expire if unused
• May be changed, withdrawn, or restricted at Jobtroo's discretion

Jobtroo may offer free, paid, monthly, yearly, promotional, or country-specific subscription plans.

Subscription plans may include access to features such as:

• Job match runs
• Tailored CV or resume generation
• Cover letter generation
• Supporting statement generation
• AI mock interviews
• Document export in PDF or DOCX
• Application tracking
• Analytics
• Priority AI queue
• Other premium features

Plan limits, pricing, features, and credit allowances are shown on the pricing page or at checkout.

Jobtroo's pricing may vary by:

• Country
• Currency
• Taxes
• Promotions
• Payment provider fees
• Subscription duration
• Local market pricing
• Plan type

Prices shown in screenshots, advertisements, or examples may not always match the final price available to every user.

The final price will be shown before checkout. By subscribing, you agree to the price, currency, billing cycle, and plan limits shown at checkout.

Jobtroo may offer monthly and yearly subscription options.

Monthly subscriptions renew each month unless cancelled.

Yearly subscriptions renew each year unless cancelled.

Yearly plans may include a discount compared with monthly billing. Any discount, such as "save 2 months," applies only as shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

By subscribing, you authorise Jobtroo and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees, applicable taxes, and any charges shown at checkout.

You can cancel your subscription through your account settings or by contacting hello@jobtroo.com.

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

After cancellation:

• Your subscription will usually remain active until the end of the current billing period
• You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
• You may lose access to paid features after the subscription period ends
• Unused credits may expire at the end of the billing period unless stated otherwise

Cancellation does not automatically refund previous payments unless required by law or expressly stated by Jobtroo.

Unless required by applicable law, payments are generally non-refundable once access to the paid service, credits, or digital features has been provided.

Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

We may consider refunds where:

• You were charged in error
• A duplicate payment occurred
• A technical issue prevented reasonable use of the service and we could not resolve it
• Applicable consumer law requires a refund

Some Jobtroo features may use credits. Credits may apply to:

• Job match runs
• Document creation
• Mock interviews
• Interview reports
• Other premium AI features

Credits may be limited by plan, billing cycle, feature type, or promotion.

Credits may be consumed when a feature is generated, processed, or substantially used, even if you later choose not to use the output.

Unless stated otherwise:

• Credits do not roll over after the billing period
• Credits have no cash value
• Credits cannot be transferred
• Credits cannot be resold
• Unused credits are not refundable
• Jobtroo may adjust credit rules to protect the platform from misuse or abuse

Jobtroo uses AI to generate documents, feedback, job match insights, interview questions, and other outputs.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation.

You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before using it.

Jobtroo does not guarantee that generated content will:

• Secure an interview
• Secure a job offer
• Pass an ATS system
• Be accepted by an employer
• Be error-free
• Be suitable for every industry, country, or role

Jobtroo helps improve preparation and application quality, but we do not guarantee:

• Job interviews
• Job offers
• Employer responses
• Application success
• Salary outcomes
• Visa sponsorship
• Career progression
• Acceptance by any employer or recruiter

Hiring decisions are made by employers and third parties outside Jobtroo's control.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information used in your applications is truthful, accurate, and not misleading.

You must not use Jobtroo to create documents that:

• Contain fake work experience
• Invent qualifications
• Misrepresent employment history
• Fabricate achievements
• Mislead employers
• Violate laws or third-party rights

Jobtroo may refuse, suspend, or limit services where we detect misuse.

Jobtroo may display job opportunities from third-party sources, job boards, APIs, employer websites, or public listings.

We do not guarantee that job listings are:

• Available
• Accurate
• Current
• Genuine
• Suitable
• Still accepting applications
• Free from third-party errors

You should verify job details directly on the employer or job board website before applying.

Jobtroo is not responsible for third-party job websites, employer decisions, recruitment processes, or external application platforms.

Jobtroo's AI Mock Interview feature is designed for practice and preparation only.

Mock interview scores, feedback, and suggestions are guidance, not guarantees.

You should use the feedback as a preparation aid and apply your own judgement.

If Jobtroo offers one-to-one coaching with real people, any coaching session is for guidance and preparation only and does not guarantee employment outcomes.

Jobtroo may offer one-to-one interview preparation sessions with coaches or career professionals.

Session availability, pricing, duration, and coach assignment may vary.

If a session is booked:

• You must attend at the scheduled time
• You must provide accurate email and booking details
• You must not record the session without permission
• You must behave respectfully toward the coach
• Jobtroo may reschedule or cancel sessions where necessary

Cancellation and rescheduling rules for live sessions may be shown at the time of booking.

You must not use Jobtroo to:

• Break the law
• Upload malicious code
• Attempt to access systems without permission
• Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the platform
• Abuse AI features
• Generate fraudulent applications
• Impersonate another person
• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Upload content you do not have the right to use
• Interfere with the operation of Jobtroo
• Resell access without permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of the information and content you upload to Jobtroo.

By using Jobtroo, you give us permission to process your content as needed to provide the service, including generating documents, running job match analysis, and producing interview feedback.

You confirm that you have the right to upload and use the content you provide.

Jobtroo, including the platform, branding, design, software, workflows, prompts, templates, interface, and technology, belongs to Jobtroo or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, modify, or distribute Jobtroo's platform or proprietary materials without permission.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use documents generated through Jobtroo for your personal job search.

You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated documents before submitting them to employers.

Jobtroo may use reusable templates, structures, and AI-generated language. We do not guarantee that generated documents are unique to you unless specifically stated.

We aim to keep Jobtroo available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The service may be affected by:

• Maintenance
• Internet issues
• Hosting provider issues
• AI provider downtime
• Payment processor issues
• Third-party API failures
• Security incidents
• Unexpected technical problems

We may update, suspend, replace, or discontinue features at any time.

Jobtroo may rely on third-party services, including:

• AI providers
• Payment processors
• Cloud hosting providers
• Analytics tools
• Email providers
• Calendar and meeting tools
• Job data providers

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party service failures, delays, outages, or decisions.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, currently Stripe and Paystack. The processor used at checkout depends on your region and currency (for example, NGN payments are handled by Paystack, while most other currencies are handled by Stripe).

Receipts and invoices for your payments are issued by the relevant payment processor.

You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorise charges for selected plans, subscriptions, or purchases.

If payment fails, we may:

• Retry the payment
• Suspend premium access
• Downgrade your account
• Cancel your subscription
• Restrict access to paid features

Prices may exclude taxes unless stated otherwise.

You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or charges related to your purchase.

Where required, taxes may be calculated and added at checkout.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• Payment fails
• You misuse the platform
• You create risk for Jobtroo or other users
• We are required to do so by law
• Your account is involved in fraud or abuse

You may stop using Jobtroo at any time.

Jobtroo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• The platform will always be available
• AI outputs will always be accurate
• Documents will be accepted by employers
• Job listings will always be current
• Mock interview feedback will perfectly reflect real employer decisions
• Use of Jobtroo will result in employment

You use Jobtroo at your own discretion and risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jobtroo will not be liable for:

• Loss of employment opportunity
• Rejected applications
• Failed interviews
• Lost profits
• Lost data
• Business interruption
• Indirect or consequential losses
• Third-party service failures
• Employer or recruiter decisions

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

You agree to indemnify and hold Jobtroo harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

• Your misuse of Jobtroo
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your uploaded content
• Your use of generated documents
• Your misleading or unlawful applications
• Your violation of third-party rights

We may change, improve, remove, or update features at any time.

This may include changes to:

• Subscription plans
• Pricing
• Credits
• Usage limits
• AI models
• Job data sources
• Templates
• Export formats
• Mock interview features

If a change materially affects your paid subscription, we will try to provide reasonable notice where appropriate.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If changes are significant, we may notify you by email, platform notice, or by updating the effective date.

Your continued use of Jobtroo after the changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Nigeria, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
